Successful Funding Application

In 2005 the Association applied for a granst from The Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Sustainable Development Fund and the The Norfolk Rural Community Council.

At the end of the year we found out we were successful in our application. With this money the Association has bought a more efficient reed cutting machine, a quad bike and a trailer that can be hired by individual cutters from the Association to help with the harvest.

The grant has also enabled us to produce two display panels to be mounted near the marshes during the cutting season to give information to members of the public. With the rest of this funding we commissioned this website to provide information to the public and to promote Norfolk reed to new as well as traditional markets.
